The True Statue of Liberty

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” – Matthew 11:28-30 NKJV

Jesus paid the ultimate price to give us true freedom. Freedom from not only bondage of our nature that we were born into, but our actions when we know better. We can try and try to pull ourselves up out of the muck but we still end up buried in the same stink hole we started in. There is nothing that you and I can do to warrant salvation. It is only by the grace of God! Yes, we did make the bed but it was Jesus that laid in it. There is no greater love! We deserve everything we had coming and yet Jesus still paid the price. It is the Cross that is the true Statue of Liberty! Quit trying to earn what Jesus already paid the price for and just accept it.
